THE GIRL … INSPIRES OUR HAIRSTYLES WITH SCARVES

Jan Vermeer’s famous painting might be hundreds of years old and the outfit of his »Girl with a Pearl Earring« might seem rather simple, it (and her fabulous headscarf) inspired us to the following feature: hairstyles involving fabric.

If you’d like to try out something new with your hair and you need a break from the regular bun and ponytail, you’ll love these styles! We recorded step by step videos so you can easily follow along. Go get your favourite scarf and let’s get started!

Style 1 – The Hairband

The simple hairband is having a revival in 2019 – knot it in the back or be inspired by Prada like our cover!

Style 2 – Braid Deluxe

Looks much more complicated than it is: the braid complete with a silk scarf as elegant finish.

Style 3 – Packed Bun

A bun always works. Our new twist? Wrap it in a scarf (so it’s completely hidden), make a knot at the bottom and voilà: here’s your summer hairstyle!

Style 4 – High Bun 

Every stressful morning’s quick rescue: the high bun! Add a little something special by tying a scarf around it. Get your favourites ready!

You’ll need: a hair tie, a big scarf and some hair-management skills for this final style: the turban deluxe! This comfortable cover-up lasts for hours and can be combined with all sorts of outfits thanks to different colours and patterns.
