Hypochondria – What is it and who suffered from it?
In the film »Send me no flowers«, Rock Hudson plays an obsessed hypochondriac who even prepares and plans his own funeral in the movie. People who have severe fears of having a serious health condition without an objective diagnostic finding are more common than you think. Michael Neubauer examined the »fear of illness« for us, researched causes and also found some well-known examples like Franz Kafka, Thomas Mann or Andy Warhol.
