The fashion shows run until January 22, but before the daily event hopping begins, you should not renounce the relaxed feel-good breakfast in typical Berlin atmosphere! Thus, we have asked the sisterMAG team for their favourite breakfast places and complemented the list with some all-time classics and secret tips.

The top 10 breakfast places from our editorial team

Let’s start with the sisterMAG teams’s café highlights. The selection is scattered across the Berlin map – just as we live across various neighborhoods, our favorite cafes are in the different areas of the city.

  • Highly recommended by Toni No Fire No Glory is situated in Kollwitzkiez. The coffee beans originate from the micro roasting houses “Bonanza Coffee Roasters” (Berlin) and “The Coffee Collective” (Copenhagen). The organic milk is amazing and the sandwiches super delicious! Rykestr. 45, 10405 Berlin
  • At least once a week Toni and Alex stop by Bonanza on their way to the office. The owners of the small avant-garde coffee house brought the high art of coffee from London and thus also brought international guests to the neighborhood, who were invited by Bonanza’s great reputation. Oderberger Str. 35, 10435 Berlin
  • Nadine’s home is in Kreuzberg, where also her favorite café Schuchmanns is located. The cozy cafe in the substation Kreuzberg invites you to long and leisurely breakfasts with pancakes, yogurt variations, cereals, bagels, organic eggs and English breakfast. Paul-Lincke-Ufer 22, 10999 Berlin
  • Wonderful pancakes at Café Krone; Photo: Thea Neubauer

  • Our graphic designer Helena who is currently back in Stuttgart, names Café Krone as her favourite place in Berlin. Located right near the Mauerpark you can eat through an endless top-class breakfast menu. Pancakes, pâtisserie, eggs, salads and sandwiches come in every conceivable delicious combinations and variation.
  • Café Kraft is situated at a quiet corner in Prenzlauer Berg; Photo: Thea Neubauer

  • Outside the Fashion Week hurly-burly Cafe Kraft is situated at the edge of Prenzlauer Berg. But that doesn’t mean that some of Berlin’s hype doesn’t make a visit, from time to time film crews have been spotted. Specialty coffees, teas and chai go with delicious sandwiches; Sandra has found her morning source for coffee to go. Schivelbeiner Str. 23, 10439 Berlin
  • Who dares to make the way up to Moabit? Our designer Marie in any case and she recommends Thea & coffee (nothing to do with our Thea). Here you can meet people from the neighbourhood and enjoy the rustic interior. Birkenstr. 19, 10559 Berlin
  • Zeit für Brot is a classic in Berlin-Mitte and Laura’s favourite coffee shop. Not surprisingly, because the sweet yeast buns are to die for. Whoever prefers to eat rather hearty, can satisfy his/her hunger at the sandwich bar.Alte Schönhauser Str. 4, 10119 Berlin
  • Directly at the Görlitzer Park in Kreuzberg Café Nest is situated, which serves German-Mediterranean world cuisine. You can find our photographer Cris often for Sunday brunch here. Görlitzer Str. 52, 10997 Berlin
  • Luisa is of course very sensitive to the Instagram-friendliness of a cafe – bright and beautiful served is a must. Aunt Benny in Friedrichshain exceeds these requirements with ease. Sandwiches, bagels and cakes taste sensationally and are of course super photogenic. Oderstrasse 7 / Enter: Jessnerstrasse, 10247 Berlin
  • Café Type Hype in Berlin Mitte

  • One of Thea’s favourite is Café ORA – a former pharmacy at Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg. For breakfast brioches, cinnamon Buns, muesli bars are served, also as vegan options. But Café ORA is not only for breakfast, delicious cakes are also served and in the evening the cafe turns into a bar. Oranienpl. 14, 10999 Berlin
