Rodin’s »Thinker«: Table Of The Month – Time For Yourself
For this sisterMAG issue, we put together another table of the month inspired by our title artwork – Rodin’s famous sculpture »The Thinker«. Our design will win you over with calm, bright tones and cosiness. New this time: This table is made for one person only to make time for yourself.
Table of the Month
Time for yourself
This issue’s Table of the Month is fully dedicated to RODIN’S »THE THINKER«. The famous artist inspired us to this minimalistic and bright coloured table setting, laid out for one person.
A hint of spring
In white, grey and green
Light tones in grey and beige make up the colour palette of this Table Of The Month. They convey a cool but comfortable atmosphere while colourful flowers spruce up the mood and show a hint of spring.
»Paintings, sculptures, literature and music are more closely related than one might believe. They express all feelings of the human soul towards nature.«
This teapot by Bolia from the series ECLIPSE is a real eye catcher.
This combination of grey and white dishes is complemented by shiny cutlery.
Simple elegance meets floral artistry
For this table, we focused on SHAPES and STRUCTURES. Not only the repeated, asymmetrical shapes of the chairs and scandi-inspired dishes show this. The linen curtains, the faux fur blanket draped over the chair and the unique structure of the carpet are also tied in with the timeless style. Even Rodin was inspired by the textures of different surfaces – be inspired!
The sumptuous floral arrangements contrast the rest of the set-up.
Pampas grass perfectly matches the simple and elegant mood.
Green and white
The scandi-inspired teapot accentuates the round table.
Rodin about nature:
»Art is nothing more than a study of nature. This study is what made ancient and gothic times so great. Nature is everything. We don’t inventor make anything.«
Real flower power
